A pyriform jug on a short foot ring with a tall neck and applied serpentine handle. On a ground of white slip, the jug is decorated with red carnations with green foliage, divided by blue and red saz leaves. The neck is similarly decorated, separated from the body by a small border. The handle is painted with blue horizontal stripes, possibly derived from a leather prototype with stitched handle.
A jug with similar floral decoration and identical border around the neck, dating to ca. 1570, is in the Musée national de la Renaissance in Écouen (no. E.Cl.8404).
